수리학은 물의 공학적 계산을 다루는 학문이며, 수업을 통해서 기초원리를 이해하고, 실무에 적용되는 과정을 습득함으로써 하천, 댐, 보 등의 수리구조물 등의 응용을 계산할 수 있는 학문이며
물의 물리적 성질, 정수역학, 동수역학, 관수로의 흐름에 대한 구체적인 이론을 이해하는 데 목적이 있으며, 이론을 이해하는 데 도움이 되는 레이놀즈 실험, 관수로 손실수두 실험, 삼각 및 사각위어 유량측정 실험, 오리피스 유출 실험 등을 수행한다.

Based on the knowledge for the hydrostatics, and hydro dynamics learned from the previous sections, we explore the followings: flow resistance and velocity distribution; closed conduit flow; channel geometry; resistance and energy principles in open channels; gradually varied flow.
